The Ceylon College of Physicians (CCP), in collaboration with the Sri Lanka Society of Gastroenterology (SLSG), successfully conducted the CCP Specialty Update in Gastroenterology – Grand Round in Luminal Disorders on 9 June 2026 at the ClinMARC Auditorium.

The programme featured two engaging symposia covering common and challenging luminal gastrointestinal disorders, including bloody diarrhoea, chronic abdominal pain with diarrhoea, lower GI disorders, functional diarrhoea, upper GI bleeding, and dysphagia. Renowned gastroenterologists from across Sri Lanka delivered evidence-based, practical updates, followed by an interactive expert panel discussion that stimulated insightful clinical dialogue.

Through collaborative educational initiatives such as this, CCP and SLSG continue to strengthen postgraduate medical education, promote excellence in patient care, and advance the practice of gastroenterology in Sri Lanka.
